Tattoo AfterCare

Caring for a new tattoo or piercing mainly involves maintaining good hygiene during the first few days. It is essential to use antibacterial soap, avoid contact with dirty objects, refrain from swimming in lakes and pools, avoid touching your tattoo with dirty hands, and protect it from mechanical damage. Do not scratch or pick at scabs. For tattoos, after three days, start applying a thin layer of healing ointment up to 3 times a day.

Procedure

Remove the film covering your new tattoo on the third to fifth day before bedtime and wash thoroughly with antibacterial soap. Remove the film under warm water (the film will be difficult to remove, but that is not a problem). Do not reapply the film after washing! For the first three days after removing the film, wash the tattooed area with antibacterial soap 3 times a day.

During the period of washing with antibacterial soap, DO NOT APPLY CREAM! Start applying cream (Tattoo ointment Calcium Panthotencium, Bepanthen plus) on the third day after tattooing, and do so once, at most twice a day, applying small amounts and rubbing it thoroughly into the skin to ensure no greasy residue is left. Do not soak the area in water (pool, bathtub, natural water bodies, sauna) for the first 10 days after tattooing, only shower it. Avoid exposing the area to the sun (or tanning beds) for one month.

Avoid sports and physical activities for the first 5 days after tattooing. Avoid mechanically damaging the new tattoo and do not pick off scabs. If you use Tattoo Goo cosmetics, follow the attached instructions for use.
